Salary / Pay Scale

Pay and allowances as applicable to Assam Rifles personnel. Based on previous rallies: Warrant Officer Level 5 (₹29,200–₹92,300), Havildar Level 4 (₹25,500–₹81,100), Rifleman Level 3 (₹21,700–₹69,100) — 7th CPC levels.

Selection Process

1. RFID-based Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
2. Documentation
3. Computer Based Test (CBT) – 100 marks
4. Trade Skill Test (computer + practical; qualifying only, no marks)
5. Document Verification
6. Detailed Medical Examination (and Review Medical Examination if declared unfit)
7. Final Merit List

How to Apply

1. Open www.assamrifles.gov.in and click ONLINE APPLICATION.
2. Register with an active email ID and mobile number (DND should be off).
3. Choose trade and category only after matching qualification, age and vacancy.
4. Enter name, DOB and other particulars exactly as on the Matriculation certificate. Select State / domicile carefully.
5. Upload certificates in the prescribed format.
6. Pay ₹100 (UR/OBC/EWS) online or through SBI challan. SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen pay no fee. Deposit in HQ DGAR SBI Current A/c 37088046712, SBI Laitkor, IFSC SBIN0013883. Upload receipt and carry original to PST/PET. Fee is non-refundable.
7. Recheck every field, submit the form and print a copy for the rally.

Important Notes

• Only male Indian citizens can apply.
• Valid Domicile / Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) of the State / UT is compulsory. The State entered in the form cannot be changed later.
• Age as on 01.07.2026: 18–25 years for Warrant Officer trades; 18–23 years for Havildar (Instrument Mechanic) and all Rifleman trades.
• DOB / Name: Only particulars printed on the Matriculation certificate will be accepted.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC – 3 years; ESM (UR) – 3 years after deducting service; ESM (OBC) – 6 years; ESM (SC/ST) – 8 years; Departmental candidates – upper age up to 40 years.
• PET is qualifying and will be held at Jorhat or Diphu (Assam).
• After PST/PET and documentation, candidates appear for CBT. Trade Test call is based on CBT merit.
• DV and medical shortlisting is about four times the vacancies in each trade / category (1:4).
• Medical exam follows CAPF / Assam Rifles uniform guidelines.
• CBT qualifying marks: General / EWS – 35%; SC / ST / OBC – 33%. Section-wise syllabus not given in short notice; check official website for updates.
• Physical Standards (Male): General (All India) – Height 170 cm, Chest 80/85 cm; Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas and candidates from Assam, NE States, HP, Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh – Height 165 cm, Chest 78/83 cm; Scheduled Tribes – Height 162.5 cm, Chest 76/81 cm.
• PET (Male): 5 km in 24 minutes for All India except Ladakh; 1.6 km in 7 minutes for Ladakh region. Weight must match height and age as per medical norms.
• Applications accepted online only from 28 September 2026 to 28 October 2026 (23:59 Hrs). After final submit, no correction by post, fax, email or in person will be allowed.
