Salary / Pay Scale

BPM: ₹12,000 – ₹29,380 per month; ABPM: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470 per month; Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470 per month (TRCA with 3% annual increase, DA and other allowances)

Selection Process

  1. System-generated merit list based on Class 10th marks
  2. Shortlisting according to merit list and eligibility/reservation criteria
  3. Physical document verification of original documents
  4. Provisional engagement offer
  5. Pre-engagement formalities (including 3-day basic training and accommodation arrangements)
  6. Final engagement subject to verification of educational/caste/disability documents and antecedent verification

How to Apply

  1. One-Time Registration (OTR): Visit GDS Online Engagement Portal, click 'Candidate Login/Register', then 'New Candidate Registration.'
  2. Verify Mobile Number & Email ID via OTP.
  3. Enter Personal Details (name, date of birth, gender, father's/guardian's name, mother's name, community, etc.) matching Class 10th certificate.
  4. Generate Registration Number (sent to registered mobile and email).
  5. Login & Apply Online using Registration Number and password, select 'Apply Online' under active GDS notification.
  6. Enter Educational Details.
  7. Select Division & Post Preferences based on available vacancies and eligibility.
  8. Upload Photo & Signature.
  9. Preview & Submit.
  10. Pay Application Fee (if applicable).

Required Documents

  1. Original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies for verification
  2. Medical certificate from a Government Hospital, Government Dispensary or Government Primary Health Centre (compulsory during document verification)
  3. Class 10th/Matriculation certificate (for name, father's/mother's name, date of birth)
  4. Caste/Category certificate (if applicable)
  5. PwBD certificate (if applicable)
  6. Local language proficiency proof (studied up to Class 10th)

Important Notes

  • Only one registration permitted per candidate; duplicate/multiple registrations may lead to cancellation.
  • Active mobile number and email ID mandatory for OTP verification and communication.
  • Name, Father's/Mother's Name and Date of Birth must match Class 10th/Matriculation certificate exactly.
  • Wrong or incomplete information can result in rejection/cancellation.
  • Blurred or illegible photographs/signatures can lead to rejection.
  • Selection based on system-generated merit list from Class 10th marks.
  • Shortlisted candidates must attend physical document verification within 15 days of shortlisting.
  • Candidates should keep required original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies ready.
  • Medical certificate from Government Hospital/Dispensary/PHC compulsory during document verification.
  • Selected candidates must complete pre-engagement formalities including 3-day basic training and accommodation arrangements within stipulated period.
  • BPM candidates must arrange accommodation for Branch Post Office at own cost and reside in the post village.
  • GDS candidates should have knowledge of computers, cycling and adequate means of livelihood.

  • Past experience or previous service not considered for selection.
