Salary / Pay Scale

Pay Band of Rs. 14,000/- 70,000/ + Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200/- plus other allowances as admissible from time to time.

Selection Process

  1. Marks obtained in HSSLC (Science) Exam: 20 marks
  2. Marks obtained in One Year VFA Training Course: 40 marks
  3. Viva-voce: 40 marks
  4. Total: 100 marks

  1. Submit applications in Standard Form as published in Part-IX of the Assam Gazette
  2. Application must be duly filled in and accompanied by required testimonials/documents
  3. Address application to: The Member Secretary, Central Selection Board, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, Assam - 782460
  4. Envelope must be superscribed: 'APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF VETERINARY FIELD ASSISTANT (VFA)'
  5. Affix one recent passport-size photograph on the application form and enclose another recent passport-size photograph
  6. Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope of size 23 cm * 11 cm bearing postal stamp of Rs. 5/- for communication
  7. Furnish self-attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets and other testimonials
  8. Enclose KAAC Money Receipt of Rs.10/- (ST/SC) or Rs.20/- (other categories) towards application fee
  9. No Bank Draft/Money Order/Cash/Cheque accepted for application fee

Required Documents

  1. HSLC Certificate/Admit Card as proof of age
  2. HSLC Marksheet
  3. HSSLC (Science) Certificate and Marksheet showing Biology as a subject
  4. VFA Training Course Certificate/Certificate of successful completion of the One Year Training Course in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
  5. Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)/Domicile Certificate, as applicable
  6. Caste/Category Certificate, wherever applicable
  7. Certificate of physical/medical fitness, wherever required
  8. Declaration in Form-'A' under the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019, wherever applicable
  9. Recent passport-size photographs
  10. Any other certificate/document as may be required by the Central Selection Board

Important Notes

  • Mode of application: Offline
  • Candidates shall produce original certificates and testimonials for verification at the time of Interview/Viva-Voce/Document Verification
  • Failure to produce required original documents may result in cancellation of candidature
  • Age of the candidate shall be determined on the basis of the HSLC Certificate/HSLC Admit Card or certificate issued by a recognised board/council
