Graduate Apprentice: ₹17500/month; Diploma Apprentice: ₹15000/month; ITI Apprentice: ₹13500/month; Additional ₹2500/month if no company accommodation provided

How to Apply

  1. Register as a candidate/student on NAPS (for ITI Electrician) at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in or NATS (for Degree/Diploma in Engineering) at https://nats.education.gov.in/ and complete/update profile by uploading all required documents.
  2. After obtaining NAPS/NATS registration/enrollment number, apply on the POWERGRID website.
  3. Go to www.powergrid.in -> Careers -> Engagement of Apprentices -> Apply Online
  4. Fill personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
  5. Submit the form.
  6. Take a printout of the application form.

Important Notes

  • Candidates holding qualification through part-time/correspondence/distance education/online mode are not eligible.
  • Candidates awaiting results of final examination are not eligible.
  • Candidates not completed 18 years of age are not eligible.
  • Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training in any organisation for any duration are not eligible.
  • Candidates with job experience of more than 1 year are not eligible.
  • Candidates should be passed out within two years from the closing date of application (i.e. from 11.09.2024 to 10.09.2026).
  • Date of declaration of result in final examination must be clearly mentioned in mark sheet.
  • Must register on NAPS (for ITI Electrician) or NATS (for Degree/Diploma in Engineering) before applying on POWERGRID website.
  • Additional ₹2500/month if no company accommodation provided.
  • Total vacancies across all regions: 270 posts; this recruitment is for 26 posts in North Eastern Region.

The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has announced 26 vacancies for Apprentice in North Eastern Region (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura).

Candidates must have one of the following educational qualifications: For Graduate Apprentice (Electrical): B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electrical Engineering (full-time regular) from recognised institute/university; For Graduate Apprentice (Civil): B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engg.) in Civil Engineering (full-time regular) from recognised institute/university; For Diploma Apprentice (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering (full-time regular) from recognised institute/university; For Diploma Apprentice (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering (full-time regular) from recognised institute/university; For ITI Apprentice (Electrician): ITI in Electrician (Full-Time course) from recognised institute/university; Candidates holding qualification acquired through part-time/correspondence/distance education/online mode are not eligible; Candidates should be passed out within two years from the closing date of application (i.e. from 11.09.2024 to 10.09.2026). The date of declaration of result in the final examination should be clearly mentioned in the mark sheet..
